Joni Mitchell is not in a coma, and expected to make 'a full recovery'
A FRIEND OF legendary folk musician Joni Mitchell says she is not in a coma, contrary to media reports last night.
The 71-year-old was rushed to hospital in March after being found unconscious at her Los Angeles home.

At the time, it was reported that she was in intensive care, but nevertheless “in good spirits”.
Last night, TMZ reported that Mitchell was “in a coma” and “unresponsive”, leading to a huge outpouring of support for the singer on Twitter.

However an update approved by Mitchell’s friend Leslie Morris and posted on the singer’s official website reads:
Morris confirmed that the document “obtained by a certain media outlet” gives her the authority to make care decisions for Joni once she leaves the hospital.
“As we all know, Joni is a strong-willed woman and is nowhere near giving up her fight. Please continue to keep Joni in your thoughts.”
Morris asked Mitchell’s fans to post messages of support on the website WeLoveYouJoni.com.
